Black Cat Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Bathford, known as the walled village of Somerset, which is located on the edge of the Cotswolds, yet only three miles from Bath city centre, with easy transport links via the frequent and regular bus service.
We have one room, with en-suite, which can be arranged as a king-size double or two singles. The room is on the ground floor at the front of the house, and is easily accessible. Photos of the room can be seen to the right. Convenient off-road parking is available by the front door. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available.
The house is modern, recently renovated, with double-glazing. It is located in Church Street, perhaps containing some of the finest historic houses in the village, and looks out onto a John Wood mansion and coach house in honey-coloured Bath stone. Guests are welcome to relax in the delightful cottage-style garden.
Prices start at £30 pppn (based on two sharing), and from £50 pn for single occupancy.
Choose from either a delicious traditional cooked breakfast prepared using selected sausages and bacon (rare breed and/or home-cured when available) and local free-range organic eggs, or a lighter breakfast including fresh fruit, organic yoghurt and croissants. Toast and preserves, usually homemade, are always available. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, please advise at time of booking. Breakfast can be served in the garden in warm weather. The in-room hospitality tray includes a daily flask of fresh milk and individual ground coffee filters, plus a range of teas and bottled water. Light suppers are available by arrangement.
Bath is classified as a World Heritage City and is justly famed for its Georgian architecture. Getting to and from the City centre is easy. There are frequent buses, or why not walk to Bath along the picturesque canal, or perhaps take the Pulteney Princess river cruiser from Bathampton Mill to the famous Pulteney Bridge, in the centre of Bath?
Famous places, such as Lacock and Corsham, where TV and film dramas including Cranford, Pride and Prejudice and Lark Rise to Candleford were filmed, and Avebury and Stonehenge, are also located within an easy drive of Bathford. There are some very pleasant village and country walks from the house.

The house is also home to the Black Cat Studio, producing a range of unique ceramic and fused glass pieces and watercolours of local scenes produced by the owner, usually available for purchase.
